How to find your Genshin Impact UID

Genshin shows your UID in a corner of the screen. Your character name is not the UID, and the server is part of the answer.

What the UID is

The UID is the number that identifies your Genshin Impact account on its server. It is fixed and it is what a seller needs, together with the server, to send Genesis Crystals.

A UID belongs to one server — Asia, America, Europe or TW/HK/MO. Giving the UID without the right server is like giving a house number without the street.

Where to find it

  1. 1

    Open the game

Log in on the account you want the Crystals on.

  2. 2

Look at the bottom corner of the screen

Genshin prints the UID quietly in a bottom corner on most screens, including the login screen. It is small and grey, which is why people miss it.

  3. 3

    Or open your profile

The in-game menu also shows the UID on your own profile card, usually with a copy option.

  4. 4

    Note your server

The server is shown when you log in and on your account details. Write it down exactly as the game spells it.

A wrong UID, or the right UID with the wrong server, puts your Crystals on another player's account. Delivered top-ups cannot be reversed and are not refundable.

Mistakes people actually make

  • Sending the character name. Genshin lets you rename your traveller; the name is not an identifier.
  • Leaving the server on whatever the form defaults to.
  • Reading the UID off a friend's screen in a co-op session — that is their UID, not yours.
  • Having accounts on two servers and copying from the one you are not topping up.

Check it before you pay

  1. 1

    Paste the UID

Copy from in-game rather than typing.

  2. 2

    Set the server by hand

Choose it deliberately, even if a value is already selected.

  3. 3

    Recheck on the order page

Both values are printed there. If either is wrong, message the seller before delivery.

Common questions

Is my HoYoverse email the same as my UID?

No. The email is your login. The UID is the in-game account number, and it is the only one of the two a seller should ever ask for.

Can I change my UID or move it to another server?

No. Playing on a different server means a different account with its own UID and its own progress.

Is the same UID used for other HoYoverse games?

No. Honkai: Star Rail and the others each give the account their own UID. Take the UID from the game you are topping up.
