1What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:

• Account details — name, email, phone number, country
• Order history — what you bought, when, and from which seller
• Payment information — handled by our payment providers; we keep only the last four digits and card type
• Verification documents — for sellers only, to meet legal obligations
• Usage data — pages viewed, device type, approximate location from your IP address

2Why we use it

• To deliver the products you order and let sellers fulfil them
• To detect fraud, chargebacks and account takeovers
• To answer your support messages
• To send order updates — these are transactional and cannot be switched off
• To send offers and product news — you can turn these off any time in notification settings

3Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary:

• The seller you bought from — your display name and order details, so they can deliver
• Payment providers — to take payment and issue refunds
• Service providers — hosting, email delivery and analytics, bound by contract
• Authorities — where the law requires it and we have verified the request

4Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and understand which pages people find useful. Essential cookies cannot be turned off because the site will not work without them. Analytics cookies can be declined from the banner on your first visit or cleared in your browser at any time.

5How long we keep it

Account and order records are kept while your account is open, and for six years after closure where tax and accounting law requires it. Seller verification documents are kept for five years after the seller account closes. Analytics data is anonymised after 26 months.

6Your rights

• Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your account and data, subject to the retention periods above
• Object to marketing at any time
• Ask us to move your data to another service

7Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it and is logged. No system is perfect, so if a breach ever affects you we will tell you and the relevant regulator without delay.

8Children

CubieMart is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold data from a child we delete it. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will look into it.
