What the card buys
The code adds Google Play balance to your Google account. You can spend it on paid apps, games, in-app purchases such as UC or Diamonds, books, and subscriptions that bill through the Play Store.
It does not pay for hardware, for Google Workspace, or for a subscription you set up outside the Play Store. If you subscribed to something on its own website, Play balance cannot pay that bill.
Google states it plainly: a Play gift card may only be redeemed in the country and currency it was bought for, and your Play account country must match. A US card will not load onto a Bangladesh account. Buying the wrong region is not covered.
Check your Play country first
-
1
Open the Play Store app and tap your profile picture
Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Payment methods. The country your account belongs to is shown there, along with the currency.
-
2
Or just look at any paid app
If prices show in BDT you are on a Bangladesh account. If they show in USD you are on a US account, and you need a US card.
-
3
Then match the region chip on the listing
The region sits next to the price on the product page, before you pay.
Where your code arrives
After payment clears, open My Orders at /account/orders and click the order. The code is printed on the order itself, under a green DELIVERED heading, with a Download as .txt button beside it. It stays on that page permanently, so there is no need to save the email.
Automated listings appear there quickly. Manual ones arrive when the seller sends them; the listing shows the seller's own delivery estimate.
Common questions
Can I move my Play balance to another country?
No. Google says balance stays in the country where it was redeemed, even if you later change your Play country. So redeem on the account you actually intend to spend from.
Google Play gift cards are not sold in Bangladesh. Which card do I buy?
Buy the card for the country your Play account is already set to. If your account is a Bangladesh account and no Bangladesh card exists, a gift card is not a route for you — use a payment method your Play account accepts instead. Do not buy a US card for a Bangladesh account.
The code was already used when I got it.
That is on CubieMart. Open the order at /account/orders, choose Report a problem, attach a screenshot of the Google error and open a dispute. See /help/refunds.
