What a valid code looks like
Both eShop card numbers and download codes are 16 characters. The difference is what they do: a card number adds funds, a download code unlocks one specific game.
The eShop keeps them on separate screens, so entering one where the other belongs simply fails.

What the error means
| Message | What it means | Who can fix it |

| This code has already been used | The funds or game went to some account. If not yours, it was used before delivery. | CubieMart — open a dispute |
| This code cannot be used in your country or region | The card is for a different eShop than your Nintendo Account country. | Only Nintendo, and the account country cannot be changed after a purchase |
| This code is not valid | Usually the wrong screen — a card number typed into the download code box, or the reverse. | You first, then CubieMart |
When it is CubieMart's problem
- A used code, the wrong amount, or a download code for a game you did not buy.
- Open the order at /account/orders, choose Report a problem, attach the screenshot, then read /help/refunds.
