What a valid code looks like
Xbox and Microsoft codes are 25 characters, written as five groups of five separated by dashes. They only use letters and digits, no other symbols.
The code goes to whichever Microsoft account is signed in. Sign in to the right one before you start.

The console keyboard makes typos easy. Check the whole code before confirming.
What the error means

| This code has already been redeemed | The code is spent. If you did not spend it, it was used before it reached you. | CubieMart — open a dispute |

| The code you entered is not valid, check for typos | Almost always a mis-typed character. Copy and paste from the order page instead. | You first, then CubieMart |
When it is CubieMart's problem
- The code was already redeemed, the amount is wrong, or you paid for a gift card and got a Game Pass trial.
- Open the order at /account/orders, choose Report a problem, attach the screenshot, then read /help/refunds.
