What Robux is
Robux is the currency used across Roblox — avatar items, game passes and in-experience purchases. It sits on your Roblox account.
Roblox is identified by username, not by a number, and Roblox usernames can be changed. That makes it the one top-up on this list where the identifier can go stale between order and delivery. Do not change your username while an order is open.
Before you start
- Your exact Roblox username. Not your display name — those are two different things.
- The listing's delivery method, read in full. Robux is not always sent the same way, and some methods need something from you first.
- A CubieMart account and a payment method.
Buying Robux, step by step
-
1
Find the product
Search "Robux", or open Top Up and pick Roblox.
-
2
Read the delivery method on the listing
This is the step people skip. Some listings send Robux directly, some go through a Roblox group or a game pass, and those routes have their own conditions and their own waiting time set by Roblox.
-
3
Enter your username
Copy it from your Roblox account page rather than typing it.
-
4
Pay
The total is shown before you confirm.
-
5
Do whatever the listing asks, then wait
If the method needs you to join a group or accept something, do it promptly — the seller cannot deliver until then.
Robux sent to the wrong username is gone. Usernames look alike — an added underscore or a swapped letter is enough. Copy it from your account page, do not type it from memory.
How long it takes
Two clocks apply here. The seller's own delivery estimate is on the listing. On top of that, some Roblox delivery routes are subject to a holding period that Roblox itself imposes, not the seller. Where that applies, the listing says so.
If the listing mentions a holding period, that time is normal and not a failed delivery. Wait it out before opening a dispute.
Common questions
Username or display name?
Username. The display name is the one shown to other players and several accounts can share it. The username is unique and it is what a seller needs.
Do I give my Roblox password?
No, and this is worth being firm about. Roblox account theft usually starts with someone asking for a password or a login code "to deliver Robux". The username is enough.
I changed my username after ordering.
Tell the seller immediately from the order page. If they have already sent Robux to the old name it may have gone elsewhere, and that is not recoverable.
Why is it cheaper than the Roblox store?
Sellers buy in bulk and there is no app store cut. Where a listing is cheaper than that gap can explain, read the delivery method twice — the saving may be coming from a slower route.
